Taking on The Goodrest, Tobey Jones won the first singles, Toby Andrews the second and Andrew Lascallas romped home to give the Martlet’s a 3-0 lead.
Pete Gardner suffered a rare defeat before Will Rushgrove (like Luke Littler but thinner) took his chance to make it 4-1.
Into the second half and Alex Basford took the first singles before Andrew suffered a defeat.
Matthew Repton, not making his debut for the Martley Darters, but making a comeback after 26 years, then won his singles to make the game safe.
Tobey and Toby then won again and gave Martley a fine 8-2 win.
Back to league action next week with a home game against Alma ‘B’ on Wednesday night. All welcome
