Martley Cricket Club are sad to hear of the death of Ian Underhill.
He was a fine fast bowler for the club in the 1960’s and, along with Tony Kirby helped revive the club when it looked like folding up.
He was the village ‘copper’ and he knew everyone, he could even quote you car number.
Bill Rutter nicknamed him ‘The Bogey’,
Last time we saw him was at the Joe Leach day last summer, when he gave the club a generous donation.
Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.
RIP ‘The Bogey’.
